The Control of Verbs’ Corpus and Corpus Based Dictionary in Turkish Vocabulary
AIM
Language Studies lead their way from another perspective like in all other disciplines as the result of developments in information technology. Today, Natural Language Processing studies are turned out to engineering field. Although studies conducted with this purpose have been accelerated in last ten-year time in Turkey, forming corpus and processing it have emerged as one of the basic studies in the field of computer-aided language/linguistic studies with the aims such as determining the features of language use in specifically lexicology and syntax studies within a safe and fast-access language environment, and revealing frequent structures and their uses for teaching native language and foreign language and etc.
The aim of the study is to control head-verbs and intra-verbs in Turkish Vocabulary real-timely in terms of their orthographies, the frequency regarding lexemes and semantics, head-explanations, examples, labels of word classes, and to recompose head-verbs and intra-verbs in Turkish Vocabulary in all parts as corpus based, and to publish Corpus Based Dictionary of Verbs in Turkish n virtual environment in line with the data.

The goals of the study are lined up as below:
1. To determine head-verbs and intra-verbs based on their frequencies from corpus which has high representativeness
2. To specify head-verbs and intra-verbs exactly in terms of their orthographic features in Turkish Language Vocabulary.
3. To overcome the deficiencies of head-verbs’ intra-explanations.
4. To overcome the inadequacies of dictionary examples which exist in head-verbs and intra-verbs.
5. To label head-verbs and intra-verbs exactly as word classes
6. To compile the materials which are real-time lexemes for dictionary studies with special purpose (teaching language, collocations, synonymy and homoionym, antonyms, and etc.)
7. Morphologically to compile of head-verbs and intra-verbs real-timely
8. To contribute to studies of lexicology through Corpus Based Dictionary of Verbs in Turkish, and to present the lexicological materials gathered throughout this study in virtual environment for further studies.
